About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a Per Diem Occupational Therapist for a long-term care setting in Juneau, Wisconsin. The position serves short-term rehabilitation patients, long-term residents, and individuals with intellectual disabilities, and offers an opportunity to work in a subacute brain injury center. The clinical team includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, neuropsychology, psychiatry, and physiatry, with group treatments, co-treatments, household events, and outings. The role offers flexible scheduling and compensation of up to $55 per hour.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or eligibility for licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients’ goals and enhance their functional abilities.
Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
