About The Position
Western Home Communities is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join its therapy team, splitting time between the Cedar Falls and Grundy campuses in Iowa. The role supports adult and geriatric residents across post-acute, long-term, and transitional care settings within a continuing care community. The Occupational Therapist provides individualized interventions to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Active or eligible Iowa Occupational Therapy license.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Professional judgment and problem-solving ability.
- Passion for helping others achieve their best quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and deliver occupational therapy treatments in accordance with state practice guidelines.
- Provide direct care to adult and geriatric patients in post-acute, long-term, and transitional care settings.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans and achieve positive outcomes.
- Educate patients, families, and staff about therapy goals, techniques, and progress.
- Provide appropriate supervision and guidance to Occupational Therapy Assistants.
