About The Position
As an Occupational Therapist in Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation setting, you will help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. You will assess patient needs, create personalized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to support patients’ independence and functionality. Rehabilitation Services are provided in partnership with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, offering providers access to research, continuing education, and care expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)-accredited program.
- Current State of Michigan licensure.
- Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to help patients regain or improve daily living and work skills.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to support recovery and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
