About The Position
The Occupational Therapist in Inpatient Rehab evaluates and treats patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial deficits. The role helps patients improve their ability to perform independent living skills and supports them through different stages of recovery with personalized care. The position is based at Genesys Health System in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Certification in a specialized area of occupational therapy.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
- Design and implement plans of care, including the type and frequency of treatment.
- Document patient progress and monitor and modify plans of care as needed.
- Educate patients and their families or caregivers about patient deficits.
- Plan and assist with patient discharge from therapy services, providing information on adaptive equipment and support programs.
- Oversee care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.
