About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a part-time Occupational Therapist for a senior living setting in Park Forest, Illinois. The role offers $48–$51 per hour and approximately 15–25 hours per week, with flexibility in hours and a Monday–Friday schedule. The therapist will help seniors maintain strength and independence by assessing their abilities, creating individualized treatment plans, educating clients and families, documenting care, and advocating for clients’ needs. Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist or eligibility for licensure.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.

Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observation and standardized tools.
Create personalized treatment plans aligned with clients’ goals and functional abilities.
Educate clients and families about improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Advocate for clients’ needs and support access to community resources, services, and accommodations.
