Occupational Therapist- Home Health Care
About The Position
Henry Ford Health is hiring an Occupational Therapist for its Home Health Care team, serving Northern Oakland County. The territory includes Clarkston, Commerce Township, Farmington, Farmington Hills, Milford, Novi, Orchard Lake, Sylvan Lake, Walled Lake, Waterford, West Bloomfield, White Lake, and Wixom. The role is 40 hours per week and provides patient-centered care through evaluations and treatments in patients’ home environments. The therapist works under the supervision of the site Team Leader or Supervisor and supports patients, physicians, and coworkers through effective communication and accurate documentation. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and the position is eligible for full-time benefits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current State of Michigan registration.
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Responsibilities
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations and treatments for patients as appropriate.
- Communicate with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and thoroughly.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Occupational Therapy Assistants and technicians as appropriate.
- Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.
