About The Position

Sprenger Therapy is hiring an Occupational Therapist for its in-house rehabilitation team at SHC of Port Royal in Port Royal, South Carolina. Sprenger Therapy is a family-owned therapy organization serving Sprenger Health Care Systems’ skilled nursing facilities. Its clinician-led and clinician-supported in-house model emphasizes patient-centered care, protected therapy time, respect for clinical judgment, mentorship, and a stable, accessible leadership culture. The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents, develops individualized treatment plans, and provides services to help restore function, independence, and quality of life. The role collaborates with residents, families, COTA staff as applicable, and the interdisciplinary care team. New graduates are welcome, with mentorship provided from day one. The position is PRN, and flexible scheduling is offered.

Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for OTR.
Current OT license or eligibility for licensure.
Commitment to patient-first, outcomes-driven care.
Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Provide occupational therapy services focused on restoring function, independence, and quality of life.
Conduct screenings and identify residents who would benefit from intervention.
Supervise and collaborate with COTA staff as applicable.
Initiate referrals when appropriate and in accordance with department procedures.
Document clearly and efficiently in support of quality outcomes.
