The Percy Hedley Foundation is a large regional charity dedicated to supporting individuals with a diverse range of learning and physical needs. We employ a person-centered, flexible approach to care and support across five sites in Forest Hall, Killingworth, Jesmond, Newcastle City Centre, and North Shields. Our services include specialist education, adult day services, residential care, and independent supported living. We are committed to achieving excellence and ensuring the best outcomes for those we support. Percy Hedley School specifically caters to children with cerebral palsy, speech, language, and communication difficulties, as well as other complex needs such as ASD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and ADHD. Our educational approach involves trans-disciplinary teams of teachers, therapists, and learning support assistants working collaboratively to meet each pupil's unique needs and unlock their potential. This role involves providing occupational therapy input to students with complex ASD, physical, communication, sensory, and learning difficulties, focusing on individual and small group sessions integrated within the trans-disciplinary team. The school offers a supportive and dynamic working environment with good opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and clinical supervision.
