About The Position

The Percy Hedley Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary therapy team. This role supports young adults with learning and physical disabilities. It is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career Occupational Therapist to develop their skills within a supportive and experienced team. The therapist will work closely with education staff, families, and external professionals to deliver person-centred care.

Requirements

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist (or due to qualify).
  • Passionate about supporting young adults with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Positive, adaptable, and committed to person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions with support from senior therapists.
  • Support students with physical, sensory, communication, and learning needs.
  • Promote independence and participation in education and daily living activities.
  • Implement therapeutic strategies within the classroom and wider college environment.
  • Assist with specialist equipment, adaptations, and moving and handling recommendations.
  • Maintain clinical records and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, training, and professional development.
