About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year in the Tacoma, Washington area. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a secondary-school caseload and supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Whether you’re an experienced school-based OT or looking to continue your career in a collaborative educational setting, we’d love to hear from you!
Requirements
- Must hold an active Washington State Occupational Therapist license
- Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)
- Ability to supervise and collaborate with a COTA
Nice To Haves
- Previous school-based or secondary-level experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide school-based OT services, including assessments, treatment, and consultation
- Support a secondary-school caseload
- Conduct evaluations and prepare written reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and develop appropriate IEP goals
- Supervise and collaborate with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Provide guidance to support the consistent and effective delivery of services
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and service records
