About The Position

Discovery at Home is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist in Fort Myers, FL, to serve the Discovery Village Forum and Discovery Commons Cypress campuses. This position primarily involves working within assisted and independent living communities, with potential for some home visits within the community. The patient population is mainly geriatric, with cases often covered by Medicare Part A Home Health and some Part B. New graduates are supported and mentored.

Requirements

• Graduation from an Occupational Therapy program.
• State license as an Occupational Therapist (eligible for FL state licensure).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Eligible for FL state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must have a current CPR certification.
• Open to candidates who require sponsorship to work in the United States.
• Completion of a Level 2 background screening in accordance with Florida AHCA requirements (employment contingent upon this).

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home health is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve the Discovery Village Forum and Discovery Commons Cypress campuses.
• Primarily work within assisted and independent living communities.
• Conduct some home visits within the community.
• Manage a patient population that is primarily geriatric.
• Handle cases under Medicare Part A Home Health and some Part B.
