About The Position

This position is a full-time, permanent onsite clinical position within Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance Columbia.

Requirements

  • Current (or pending) licensure in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy in the State of Tennessee is required.
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
  • Master/Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • CPR Certification
  • Enjoys being part of a team that works collaboratively to achieve goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels
  • Experience in fabrication of static and dynamic splinting.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre/post-operative orthopaedics is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients including subjective information, objective information, assessment, prognosis, and goals.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, educational programs for patients, and supervise technicians to provide quality patient care by improving mobility & strength, and decreasing future injury for return to functional activities
  • Maintain and provide all documentation for the therapy treatment, utilizing TOA’s EHR/EMR systems.
  • Communicates effectively with providers, staff, patients, and families.
  • Discharge patients as appropriate
  • Utilizes EMR/EHR systems.
  • Demonstrates positive engagement in providing the best customer service to patients and staff.
  • Adheres to Federal and State regulatory laws and rules.
  • Seeks appropriate input as needed.
