About The Position

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Hand Therapist-Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist for their outpatient orthopedic center. While a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, the company is willing to consider occupational therapists with a level II fieldwork in hands (required). They offer a network of hand therapists and CHTs for support and are eager to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT. The national hand therapy program spans 32 states, with over 300 CHTs and 300 hand therapists across the country. The company provides a nationally supported mentorship program for therapists interested in pursuing CHT credentials, along with various educational opportunities such as the National Upper Extremity (UE) symposium, national journal club, free local continuing education programs, national study group, and additional certification courses.

Requirements

Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy
CPR certification
Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic
Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred

Responsibilities

Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management
Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB, clinician expertise, patient perception)
Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge
Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients
Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff
