Occupational Therapist Assistant
About The Position
Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA/COTA) to provide home healthcare to patients in Brewster, Massachusetts. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling and pay of $37–$45 per visit. The assistant provides skilled occupational therapy interventions in patients’ homes under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, helping patients improve daily living skills, functional abilities, and independence. VRNS describes itself as clinician-owned and clinician-focused, with clinical and administrative support. Its ABI Waiver Program helps provide consistent scheduling opportunities while maintaining the flexibility and independence of home health.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
- Afternoon availability.

Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under an Occupational Therapist’s supervision.
- Help patients develop skills for activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Instruct patients in the safe use of adaptive equipment.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
