About The Position

Pilgrim’s is hiring an Occupational Health Specialist - LPN to provide routine and emergency medical care for employees, addressing work-related and general health issues. The role is based primarily in the on-site nurse’s station, with mobility required to respond to incidents on the production floor. The specialist also conducts assessments and screenings, manages medical records, and supports a safe, healthy, and productive workplace.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and shifts are eight hours. The position is listed as second shift.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted state license as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED card.
• Prefer at least one year of nursing-field experience; clinical hours may be acceptable for graduate nurses.

Nice To Haves

• Pilgrim’s will facilitate certification in urine drug screen and breath alcohol collections if selected.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site medical care within nursing scope and protocols.
• Respond promptly to workplace and general health issues.
• Perform health screenings, including drug and alcohol tests, spirometry, and audiometry.
• Maintain accurate health records for OSHA and state compliance.
• Ensure confidentiality in all health matters.
• Support safety and ergonomic initiatives.
• Assist with wellness programs and employee health education.
• Help manage and document workers’ compensation cases.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Health and Safety Team.
• Respond to incidents on the production floor.
