About The Position
The RN - Occupational/Employee Health shall be responsible to perform new and annual health screenings and follow-up of work related illnesses and injuries. The RN will ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, both federal and state. This individual will collaborate with Infection Control. Additionally, the RN will ensure a safe working environment. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- BLS required
- Minimum 3-5 years hospital based experience required
- Must be able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to cope with stressful situations.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in Occupational Health preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform new and annual health screenings.
- Follow-up of work related illnesses and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, both federal and state.
- Collaborate with Infection Control.
- Ensure a safe working environment.
- Assess and treat minor injuries / illnesses and counsel employees, volunteers, students on safety and health issues.
- Travel between hospital locations and travel to seminars when required.
