About The Position

Provide Occupational Health Care Services according to the Gulfstream Medical Program. Coordinate medical services required for the safety and proper placement of employees, the treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries, and approved industrial preventative medical programs under direction of Corporate Occupational Health Nurse Leadership.

Requirements

  • Licensed in state of Florida.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years general nursing or Occupation Health Nursing experience.
  • Active Nursing License in the state of employment required.
  • BLS Certification, DOT Collector and BAT Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) preferred.
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with employees and management to support organizational health and safety objectives.
  • Promote and facilitate continuity of care through consistent and coordinated medical services.
  • Maintain medical records in professional and confidential manner.
  • Provide superior nursing care in a professional manner using all available resources.
  • Provides timely treatment of work-related injuries.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of workers compensation per state of employment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all regulatory bodies pertaining to state of employment to include but not limited to DOT, FAA, OSHA/CalOSHA.
  • Understanding of regulatory testing programs to include but not limited to hearing, vision, respiratory, alcohol and drug.
  • Maintain all medical equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory of medical and first aid supplies, ensuring secure storage and compliance with licensing requirements.
  • Administer the collection and processing of drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Corporate and FAA alcohol and drug program.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide timely occupational health support for employee injuries, illnesses, exposure incidents, and other urgent workplace health concerns outside of regular business hours.
  • Remain current with health and medical initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
