Reporting to the EHS Manager, the Occupational Health Nurse Case Manager provides professional occupational health, wellness, and case management services that support safe, healthy, and productive workplaces. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees, leaders, healthcare providers, and claims partners while advocating for employee wellbeing and supporting business objectives. The Occupational Health Nurse Case Manager plays a key role in injury management, return-to-work programs, medical surveillance, regulatory compliance, and health promotion initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant occupational health, industrial nursing, case management, or employee health experience.
  • Experience managing workplace injuries, return-to-work programs, workers' compensation claims, and employee health initiatives preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to occupational health programs.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state of employment.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Nice To Haves

  • Occupational health nursing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • COHN or COHN-S certification, or willingness to obtain certification, preferred.
  • Certifications in audiometry, spirometry, and drug/alcohol testing are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage occupational injuries and illnesses through assessment, treatment coordination, case management, follow-up, and return-to-work planning.
  • Partner with employees, healthcare providers, claims administrators, and site leadership to ensure timely and effective claims management.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical documentation in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support and administer medical surveillance programs including hearing conservation, respiratory protection, periodic physicals, and other occupational health initiatives.
  • Facilitate post-offer health assessments, drug and alcohol testing programs, and other occupational health services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners on accommodations, disability management, absence management, and interactive processes.
  • Drive employee health and wellness programs by connecting employees to resources and promoting holistic wellbeing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service quality, regulatory compliance, employee experience, and operational effectiveness.
