This position is responsible for performing regulatory testing, injury/illness care, and wellness education for employees within the nursing scope of practice, adhering to Client Standards, policies, procedures, and treatment care guidelines. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, manages workers’ compensation claims, facilitates the Modified Duty/Return to Work program, and assists with other occupational and environmental health services. The role involves providing rapid first aid, coordinating care with the Injury Care program, managing minor medical issues, and implementing evidence-based practice and health promotion. Key responsibilities include case management of work-related incidents, supporting injury prevention, assisting with various employee exams, and maintaining communication with medical directors and supervisors. The nurse will also support health fairs, wellness initiatives, and manage travel medicine programs. Additionally, the role involves maintaining medical records, conducting medical surveillance exams, performing drug testing, developing protocols, and participating in emergency response and safety meetings. The position also includes ordering and maintaining supplies, assisting with general clinic operations, and providing over-the-counter medications as permitted.
