About The Position
This is an ongoing coverage need for an Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Plover and Portage, WI. The role involves outpatient coverage in a clinic setting, seeing an average of 16 patients per day. The position is for long-term permanent search coverage, with a start date of November 2nd. The patient population is adult, and the EMR system used is EPIC. Credentialing is expected to take 90 days.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin licensure
- Board certification
- AHA BLS certification
- Department of Transportation (DOT) certification with FMCSA digital upload experience
- Minimum 1-year Occupational Medicine experience or equivalent
- Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Wisconsin
- National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., American Academy of Nurse Practitioners [AANP])
- Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in Wisconsin
- National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics)
- Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
- Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
- Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and APP specialty
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly
