About The Position

Oscar Medical Group is seeking an innovative Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Virtual Team. This role is part of the Virtual Health Assessment (VHA) program, which involves virtually engaging Oscar Health Insurance members for evaluation and management visits. The position also supports other teams within Oscar Medical Group, such as Virtual Primary Care and Virtual Urgent Care, as needed. Oscar is a technology-driven health insurance company focused on personalized member healthcare.

Requirements

PA or DNP, FNP, ENP from accredited program
Board Certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
Compact RN (NP only)
Experience with Clinical Documentation Improvement and/or managing HEDIS quality measures
PA: Licensed in Georgia and one of the following states: Florida, Texas, or Ohio
NP: Licensed in at least 2 of the following states: Florida, Texas, Ohio, New Jersey
Ability to obtain licensure in additional states
3+ years experience in outpatient Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care

Responsibilities

Perform preventative care screenings, complete medication reconciliation, diagnose medical conditions and provide health coaching, referrals and treatment when clinically appropriate.
Outreach members who are more chronically ill based on historical and suspected health information.
Engage members who have a lower probability of seeing their PCP.
Identify areas in the member's medical journey that can be improved by increasing their access to care with a licensed provider.
Cross-train into urgent care and/or virtual primary care service line
Interact with members virtually, including virtual assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Other duties as assigned
