About The Position

Oscar Medical Group is seeking a 1099 Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) fluent in Spanish to join their remote Virtual Health Assessment (VHA) team in a part-time capacity. The VHA program engages Oscar Health Insurance members through virtual evaluation and management visits. There is potential for cross-training to support other teams within Oscar Medical Group, such as Virtual Urgent Care. The company's mission is to personalize healthcare and help members achieve their goals by refactoring the healthcare delivery system.

Requirements

Board Certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
Compact RN (NP only)
Experience with Clinical Documentation Improvement and/or managing HEDIS quality measures
Non-bilingual NP: Licensed in Georgia and one of the following states: Florida, Texas, or Ohio
Bilingual NP: Licensed in Florida
Ability to obtain licensure in additional states
3+ years experience in outpatient Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care

Responsibilities

Perform preventative care screenings, complete medication reconciliation, diagnose medical conditions and provide health coaching, referrals and treatment when clinically appropriate.
Outreach members who are more chronically ill based on historical and suspected health information.
Engage members who have a lower probability of seeing their PCP.
Identify areas in the member's medical journey that can be improved by increasing their access to care with a licensed provider.
Cross-train into urgent care and/or virtual primary care service line
Interact with members virtually, including virtual assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Other duties as assigned
