About The Position

InnovOak School is seeking exceptional Daily Occasional Supply Teachers to join its growing team. Due to continued enrollment growth, the school is expanding its supply teacher list and is looking for educators passionate about teaching and committed to high student learning expectations. InnovOak views its supply teachers as an important part of the school community and regularly hires from its supply list for part-time and full-time opportunities. This position offers an excellent chance for educators to become part of a growing independent school and showcase their teaching abilities.

Requirements

• Ontario College of Teachers certification or eligibility for certification is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor of Education completed or in progress.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching in elementary and/or secondary classrooms is considered an asset.
• Experience with independent schools, Cambridge curriculum, Singapore Mathematics, structured literacy, or enriched academic programming is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared lessons while maintaining continuity of instruction.
• Build positive relationships with students from PreKindergarten through Grade 12.
• Maintain a safe, organized, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Support high academic expectations and positive student behaviour.
• Follow lesson plans while adapting instruction to meet student needs when appropriate.
• Communicate effectively with teachers and school administrators regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times as assigned.
• Represent InnovOak professionally at all times.
• Be available for occasional, short-term, and longer-term supply assignments.
