About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB Hospitalist) in Minnesota. The role involves providing 24-hour in-house call coverage in a hospital setting, specifically on the Labor & Delivery unit. The primary focus will be on obstetric patients, with a significant proportion being high-risk. The physician will manage labor and delivery, perform vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections, handle obstetric emergencies, and participate in MFM co-management. Support is available 24/7 from MFM Specialists, CNM coverage, and ICU/CVICU teams. The position is open to General OB/GYN physicians interested in high-risk OB with full MFM support. No resident supervision is required. ECMO-level pregnancies are rare and managed by MFM and ICU teams. OB Hospitalists will assist with C-sections and urgent obstetric procedures, and may cover unassigned/undoctored OB patients at some locations. Hospital privileges are available, with temporary privileges possible for clean files.

Requirements

• Active Minnesota License Preferred (IMLC Required if no MN License)
• Board Certified OB/GYN
• BLS Required
• Level I or Level II Trauma Experience Required
• Experience Managing High-Risk Pregnancies Required
• Epic Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage for Obstetrics & Gynecology.

• Respond to phone consults as needed.
• Conduct rounding.
