Requirements

Board Certified in OB/GYN
Active Vermont License or Universal License (IMLC) (or willing to obtain)
BLS, NRP
Clean malpractice history preferred
NPDB self-query report required at presentation
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. History of Twins, Toxemia, Pyelonephritis, etc.)
FHR Interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation
OB ultrasounds – Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
Routine Delivery –Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section
Complicated Delivery –C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.
VBAC’s
Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
Office/Minor Gynecology –IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
Surgical Gynecology – Open
Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only-Tubal Ligation, LOA’s, Chromal Tubation
Operative/Major (Includes Diagnostic) – Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA’s

Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour and 12-hour call coverage for OB/GYN services including labor and delivery management, emergency C-sections, and gynecological emergencies.
Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including VBACs, multiple births, and repair of lacerations.
Conduct inpatient rounds and nursery admissions.
Perform gynecological surgeries, including laparoscopic and open procedures, as well as office-based procedures (IUD, colposcopy, LEEP, etc.).
Collaborate with certified nurse midwives, nursing staff, and support team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
