About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Red Bluff, California. This role involves providing 24-hour call coverage for OB and Gyn ED, managing a full scope of OB GYN cases including deliveries (C-section/vaginal) and gynecological surgeries. The physician will be expected to respond to calls within 20 minutes, with no requirement to remain in-house. This is an inpatient/outpatient service setting with a coverage period from July 25, 2026, ongoing. The average daily patient volume is 16-20. The facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system and provides dedicated support staff including a Medical Assistant and Practice Manager. Temporary privileges are available, with a credentialing timeline of 30-60 days.
Requirements
- Board Certified OBGYN – Highly Preferred; Board Eligible accepted if on staff at another Joint Commission hospital without monitoring
- Active CA License Required
- BLS, DEA, NRP/PALS Highly Preferred
- Residency in IM/FP, OB GYN Required
- Clean malpractice/background Highly Preferred
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation Required
- Local provider Highly Preferred
