About The Position

The position provides long-term locum tenens clinical coverage in Obstetrics & Gynecology at an acute care hospital and clinic in Northfield, Minnesota. Coverage begins in December 2026 and is expected to continue through 2027, with a six-month coverage period and the possibility of extending for an additional six months. Additional December 2026 shifts may be available. One to two providers are needed.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with scheduled clinical coverage and no call. The provider will see adolescents and adults, approximately 18 patients per day, in a practice that is primarily obstetrics with limited gynecology. The case mix includes general OB/GYN, and general OB/GYN procedures may be performed. High-risk obstetrics and a Level II nursery are not available.

The facility is an Adult Level IV trauma center. CRNAs and NNPs are available on call but are not in-house 24/7; NNPs provide specialty backup. Hospital privileges are required. The EMR is Expanse (Meditech), and Meditech charting experience is required. COVID-19 vaccination is required, with medical and religious exemptions only. All orientation hours are billable.

Requirements

• Active Minnesota medical license; IMLC is accepted.
• Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Meditech charting experience.
• Hospital privileges are required.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required; only medical and religious exemptions are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled clinical coverage in general Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Provide care primarily focused on obstetrics, with limited gynecology.
• See adolescent and adult patients, with an approximate volume of 18 patients per day.
• Perform general OB/GYN procedures.
