About The Position

Amentum is seeking Observers to perform entry control actions at Offutt Air Force Base. The Observer maintains continuous knowledge of the location of employees under their control and ensures adequate observation and physical control of construction workers, including pedestrian personnel, construction vehicles, and special construction items or equipment. Observers may oversee specialty items outside the construction zone, including while they are transported to and from construction sites. They also assist with issuing and controlling badges for personnel who require entry to construction zones or sites. The role requires applying Privacy Act and Operations Security principles, following detailed rules and instructions, interacting successfully with the public, and maintaining poise under stress. Observers may conduct stop-and-question activities in closed or locked areas, parking lots, and construction sites after hours and on weekends or holidays to help ensure no criminal activity has occurred or is taking place. They may also need to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports and cooperate with testimony or statements in administrative and criminal legal proceedings. A physical examination is required within 35 days before assignment to duty. If needed for special circumstances, the employee must be able to obtain required specialty licenses for site equipment or vehicles within 30 days.

Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance.
At least 2 years of experience in at least one of the following: construction security surveillance, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, industrial or government security involving counterintelligence, construction quality assurance, or hands-on supervisory construction experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license or permit.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must not have misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, acts of dishonesty, assault, or battery, or felony convictions, and must not receive any such convictions while employed in this position.
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Ability to meet and deal successfully with the general public.
Ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate detailed reports when needed.
Ability to hear ordinary conversation at 15 feet with either ear or without a hearing aid.
Must possess planning and organizing skills and be able to work under deadlines.
Physical examination required within 35 days before assignment to duty.
If needed for special circumstances or situations, ability to obtain any required specialty license for operating equipment or vehicles on site within 30 days.

Conduct stop-and-question activities in closed or locked areas, parking lots, and construction sites after hours and on weekends or holidays to check for criminal activity.
Prepare clear, concise, and accurate detailed reports when needed.
Cooperate, as required, in testifying or submitting statements in administrative and criminal legal proceedings; testify for the Government in a duty status when called upon regarding work under the contract.
