About The Position

Amentum is seeking Observers to perform entry control actions at Offutt Air Force Base. The Observer is responsible for maintaining continuous knowledge of the location of employees under their control and ensuring adequate observation and physical control of construction workers, vehicles, and specialty construction items or equipment. Observers may oversee specialty items outside the construction zone, including while they are transported to and from construction sites. They also assist with issuing and controlling badges for personnel requiring access to construction zones and sites. The role requires applying Privacy Act and Operations Security principles, interacting successfully with the public, following printed rules and detailed instructions, and maintaining composure under stress. Observers may conduct stop-and-question checks in closed or locked areas, parking lots, and construction sites after hours or on weekends and holidays to help ensure no criminal activity has occurred or is taking place. They must be able to write clear, concise, accurate reports when needed. This is an in-the-field position. A physical examination is required within 35 days before assignment. If necessary for special circumstances, the employee must be able to obtain a required specialty license for operating site equipment or vehicles within 30 days. If applicable, the contractor must cooperate with requests to testify or submit statements in administrative or criminal proceedings; Amentum personnel called to testify for the Government on matters related to their contract work do so in a duty status.

Requirements

Active Top Secret clearance.
At least 2 years of experience in at least one of the following: construction security surveillance, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, industrial or government security involving counterintelligence, construction quality assurance, or hands-on supervisory construction experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license or permit.
High school diploma or equivalent.
No misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, acts of dishonesty, assault, or battery, and no felony convictions; the employee must not receive such convictions while employed in this position.
Fluent ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to meet and deal successfully with the general public.
Ability to understand and apply printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials.
Ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate detailed reports when needed.
Physical examination required within 35 days before assignment to duty.
Ability to obtain any required specialty license for operating equipment or vehicles on site within 30 days, if needed.
Ability to cooperate, when applicable, with testimony or statement requests in administrative and criminal legal proceedings.
