About The Position

Truist is seeking an experienced engineer with a strong software development background and a passion for observability, automation, and platform engineering. The role designs, develops, and enables enterprise observability capabilities through code, using OpenTelemetry, APIs, automation frameworks, and modern monitoring platforms. The engineer partners with application teams to implement telemetry standards, automate observability onboarding, develop integrations, and create scalable solutions that improve visibility, reliability, and operational resilience across the enterprise. The position also designs, builds, and implements enterprise infrastructure technology platforms and systems across cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, or middleware domains. It applies automation, monitoring, and optimization to support infrastructure availability and performance; manages infrastructure engineering projects and processes in line with organizational policies and regulatory requirements; and contributes to technology standards, governance, and operational consistency. The role includes resolving complex technical issues, guiding lower-level technical professionals, and leading infrastructure processes through deep technical analysis.
