About The Position
Coverage is needed at St. Joseph Warren Hospital in Warren, Ohio, for an OB/GYN physician. The practice setting is Labor & Delivery (L&D) and OB/GYN. The reason for coverage is a shortage of employed physicians and midwives to cover the laborist model. Coverage is needed as soon as possible until additional providers are hired. The physician schedule is 7 am to 7 pm, with physician call for midwives from 7 pm to 7 am. This is not an outpatient position, so the average number of scheduled patients per day is not applicable. The practice currently has 1 full-time laborist physician and 1 full-time laborist midwife. Other OB/GYNs providing coverage during the locums dates include Nicole Carlson, MD, and Chardina Murray Mangino, CNM. There is 1 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) providing coverage. The L&D unit has an onsite lab and onsite ultrasound. Support staff includes RNs and CNMs. The practice is exclusively L&D, so the percentage of low-risk pregnancy and GYN is not applicable, except for ER coverage for unassigned patients. The nursery is Level III. The documentation system used is Epic.
Requirements
- Physician with OB/GYN specialization.
- Ability to work 7 am to 7 pm shifts.
- Experience with Labor & Delivery.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system.
- Ability to provide ER coverage for unassigned patients.

- Experience in a Level III nursery environment.
