About The Position

The West Virginia University Health System (WVUHS) Medical Group is seeking an OBGYN physician to practice in Martinsburg, WV. WVUHS is the state's largest health system and largest private employer, comprising 18 hospitals in West Virginia and bordering states, along with five institutes. The Obstetrics and Gynecology providers at WVU Medicine offer a comprehensive range of women's health services, from adolescence through menopause and beyond, utilizing the latest innovative advances in care. Berkeley Medical Center, a 195-bed non-profit acute care hospital, serves the community and offers extensive services including radiology, a wound care center, NICU, ICU, oncology, neurosurgery, and Cardiac Cath Lab. The hospital has recently expanded its OR services to accommodate growth in robotics, orthopedics, and vascular health. The Eastern Panhandle location offers a rural atmosphere, lower cost of living, and easy accessibility to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible to obtain a state medical license.
  • Completed an OBGYN residency program.
  • Completed an OBGYN fellowship program.
  • Board certified or eligible in Obstetrics/Gynecology.
  • All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the area of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Provide a full spectrum of women’s health services, from adolescence through menopause and beyond.
  • Offer preventive exams, specialized gynecologic treatment, and obstetric services.
  • Utilize the latest innovative advances in obstetric and gynecologic care.
