About The Position

We are seeking an OBGYN Physician for locum tenens coverage in Tipton, IN. This role involves providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The coverage period is from December 1, 2026, ongoing, with a shift schedule of Tuesday – Wednesday, 8a – 5p. This position is for supplemental coverage and requires the physician to manage assigned patients, including rounding. The facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE).
• Valid Indiana (IN) medical license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Hospital privileges required.
• Experience with low & high risk pregnancy management.
• Proficiency in FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE).
• Experience with amniocentesis.
• Skilled in routine & complicated delivery.
• Ability to perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations.
• Experience in office & surgical GYN procedures.

• Temporary privileges are not available, so existing hospital privileges are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients.
• Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections.
• Manage high-risk pregnancies and perform necessary interventions.
• Conduct office-based gynecologic procedures (IUD, colposcopy, etc.).
• Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring and perform amniocentesis as needed.
• Perform low & high risk pregnancy management.
• Perform FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE).
• Perform amniocentesis.
• Perform routine & complicated delivery.
• Perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations.
• Provide office & surgical GYN care.
