About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for an OBGYN Physician within a multispecialty group. The department currently has 5 physicians, reducing to 4 in October. The practice operates Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The patient population is predominantly young adults, with a low percentage of pediatric patients, primarily consisting of Medicare and Medicaid recipients. Daily office visits range from 15 to 20. The department averages approximately 700 births per year, or 58 monthly. The practice utilizes Oracle/Epic for electronic medical records and has comprehensive support services in place.

Requirements

• Must hold an active Iowa medical license
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
• Demonstrate current, active, and recent obstetric experience
• ACLS certification may be required
• PALS certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform Leep procedures
• Perform Colposcopies
• Perform IUD insertion and removal
• Perform Nexplanon insertion and removal
• Perform Endometrial biopsy
• Attend Hospital deliveries
• Provide call coverage for 2 weekends per month (Friday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM)
