About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an OBGYN Physician in Washington, MO. The role involves providing inpatient call-only coverage for Obstetrics & Gynecology. The coverage is needed ASAP and is ongoing, with a call schedule of every 5th weekend (Friday 5pm to Monday 5am). The call type is beeper with a 1:4 ratio and a 30-minute response time. This coverage is supplemental. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with a Level II Pediatric Department, featuring 16 beds in the OB/GYN department (8 LDRP, 8 couplet/GYN). The EMR system used is Epic, and support staff includes APPs, RNs, and MAs.

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
Licensed in MO
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
Ability to manage low & high risk pregnancy
Ability to perform FHR interpretation
Ability to perform OB Ultrasounds
Ability to perform Amniocentesis
Ability to perform routine & complicated delivery
Ability to perform repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
Ability to perform office/minor & surgical gynecology

Responsibilities

Provide OB/GYN call coverage every 5th weekend from Friday 5pm to Monday 5am.
Manage low and high-risk pregnancies, including prenatal and intrapartum care.
Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including vaginal, forceps, and cesarean sections.
Conduct gynecological surgical procedures, including open and laparoscopic surgeries.
Collaborate with nursing staff and office personnel to ensure comprehensive patient care.
