About The Position
We are seeking an OBGYN Physician to provide locum tenens coverage for the OB/GYN department in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The coverage period is from November 26, 2026, to January 1, 2026, with a 24-hour call schedule (7 am to 7 am). The average daily patient volume is 20, encompassing normal OBGYN cases, including deliveries and gynecological surgeries. The department has 32 beds, including 10 LDRP, antepartum, exam rooms, and 16 pp/gyn rooms. The EMR system used is Epic.
Requirements
- Vaginal deliveries
- Cesarean sections
- Gynecological surgical procedures
- Antepartum and postpartum care
- Experience with Epic EMR system
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage for the OB/GYN department
- Manage labor and delivery, including antepartum and postpartum patients
- Perform gynecological surgeries in the operating room
- Care for patients in exam rooms and GYN rooms
- Handle a high patient volume of approximately 20 patients per day
