OB Tech - Labor and Delivery - Per Diem 12 Hours Nights (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM) (Union, Non-Exempt)
About The Position
Under the direction of the RN, the OB Tech assists with all types of procedures for patients of all ages. The technician stocks and maintains unit supplies and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team in the scrub/assistant role. The position supports the overall advancement of the unit and organization and uses effective verbal and non-verbal interpersonal and communication skills to promote customer satisfaction and a positive work environment. The technician is accountable to the unit Manager and/or the Director of the department, demonstrates competence in critical behaviors annually, and supports teamwork and positive working relationships among coworkers. The role requires knowledge of AORN/AW HONN/ACOG recommended standards and participation in the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program through orientation, education, quality control, performance improvement, and quality planning activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification.
- Successfully complete and maintain NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification within four months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Surgical Technician program or certification preferred.
