About The Position

The OB Scrub Technician assists the RN in providing quality patient care during the assigned shift. The role includes performing surgical scrub for obstetrical deliveries and other obstetrical emergencies, maintaining supplies in the LDRs and surgical suites, and carrying out other identified patient-care duties within the parameters of the job description. The technician also performs clerical duties and may be assigned additional duties within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• BLS required.
• Knowledge of body mechanics and basic safety principles of physical care and comfort.
• Ability to perform the duties described, including frequent mobility, reaching, hand use, and repetitive actions.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Surgical Technician certification preferred.
