About The Position

The OB Scrub Technician assists the RN in providing quality patient care during the assigned shift. The role performs surgical scrub for obstetrical deliveries and other obstetrical emergencies, maintains supplies in labor and delivery rooms and surgical suites, and performs other identified patient-care duties within the role’s scope. The position also performs clerical duties and may be assigned additional duties within its scope.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of body mechanics and basic safety principles for physical care and comfort.
• Ability to meet the position’s physical requirements, including frequent mobility, reaching, hand use, and repetitive actions; occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 250 pounds or greater.
• Clear diction and hearing sensitivity for continuous communication by phone or in person.
• Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Surgical Technician certification preferred.
