About The Position

The OB Scrub Tech provides safe, competent, patient-centered care to Women's Services patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Working under the direction of a registered nurse, physician, or certified nurse midwife, the OB Tech assists with vaginal deliveries and scrubs for surgical procedures. The role also participates as an active member of the Nursing Team and supports the facility’s Service Excellence culture and standards.

This is a per diem opportunity with varied shifts at Wellington Regional Medical Center, a 235-bed acute care hospital in Wellington, Florida. The facility emphasizes compassionate, safe, team-oriented care and professional growth.

Requirements

• High school graduate, with ability to read and write and working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist course from an accredited program.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Good communication skills to relate to customers.
• Ability to perform EKGs.
• Computer skills, including order entry and ADT functions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience is preferred.
• CST certification where required by state.

Responsibilities
