About The Position

As an OB Surgical Tech in the Bethesda North Labor and Delivery Unit, you will perform essential technical skills and provide direct assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room. You will help ensure safe, efficient surgical procedures by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting the clinical team throughout labor and delivery cases. You may also perform similar duties in other areas of the hospital as assigned, contributing to high-quality patient care wherever needed. Your work supports the clinical team and families experiencing childbirth, helping create a safe and positive environment during surgical and obstetric procedures. The position is part-time, scheduled for 48 hours bi-weekly from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a third- or fourth-weekend rotation and holiday rotation. It is located at Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio.

Requirements

High school degree or GED.
OB Surgical Tech experience required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Ability to complete PCA class and unit-specific OB OR classes is preferred for perinatal work.

Provide direct technical assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other operating-room professionals.
Perform similar duties in other hospital areas as assigned.
