About The Position

Dignity Health Medical Group – Sequoia, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician (OB/GYN) to join their patient-centered team in Redwood City, CA. This role is ideal for a physician driven by a commitment to reproductive justice, women’s rights, and health equity, who wishes to establish a practice rooted in advocacy, clinical excellence, and deep community partnership. The position offers practice with autonomy, collaboration, and flexibility in the heart of the Bay Area. New graduates are encouraged to apply. The group is affiliated with Sequoia Hospital, a 208-bed community hospital recognized for excellence in various services, including its award-winning Family Birth Center which features private labor, delivery, and recovery suites and a Level II NICU staffed in collaboration with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. The location in San Mateo County offers a desirable, family-friendly environment with a mild climate, scenic views, and proximity to cultural amenities, top schools, outdoor recreation, and Silicon Valley.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA certification
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in both outpatient and hospital settings.
  • Perform routine exams, manage prenatal and postnatal care, and conduct obstetric and gynecologic procedures.
  • Participate in deliveries, surgeries, and on-call hospital coverage.
  • Collaborate with NPs and other team members to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and uphold best practices in patient safety and compliance.
