About The Position

Hartford HealthCare (HHC) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN to join their Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) team. This full-time role involves practicing in a collaborative environment using Epic EMR. The position focuses on providing advanced practice care, including medical and surgical treatment for chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, and fibroids. Physicians will participate in gynecology service coverage, surgical procedures, and ambulatory care. Obstetrics is not mandatory. The role involves independent decision-making for patient care across the lifespan. The physician will support the MIGS team in performing surgeries at Hartford and Manchester Hospitals, and provide outpatient clinical care in West Hartford, Glastonbury, Southington, and potentially South Windsor. The multi-disciplinary team includes various OB/GYN specialists, CNMs, NPs, PAs, and Genetic Counselors. Hartford Hospital features newly renovated operating rooms with DaVinci Robotic Surgical Systems, a state-of-the-art simulation center, and an outpatient practice where various providers work together. The location offers access to Boston and New York City, excellent schools, recreational activities, and diverse living options.

Requirements

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a Connecticut Medical License.
  • Board certified or an active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) or a similar program, or have extensive experience in MIGS.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Spanish, or languages other than English, is highly desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients, families, and others in a target population.
  • Participates in the medical and surgical treatment for chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis and fibroids, to achieve or maintain optimal health status, manage disease and reduce risk of illness.
  • Participates in gynecology service coverage, surgical procedures, and ambulatory care.
  • Engages in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families, and groups across the lifespan and the health care continuum.
  • Supports the MIGS team in performing surgeries at Hartford and Manchester Hospital.
  • Provides outpatient clinical care in offices located in West Hartford, Glastonbury, or Southington, and possible further expansion into South Windsor locations.
  • Encourages involvement in research, education, quality improvement, safety initiatives, and/or hospital and university committees.
