OB/GYN Gynecologist - Kern County
About The Position
Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) is a physician-led partnership with strong values that support a patient-centered and evidence-based approach to medicine. We provide our physicians with the resources and support systems needed to ensure every physician can focus on practicing medicine, connecting with one another, and providing the best possible care to their patients. We are seeking an ABOG board‑certified or board‑eligible Ob/Gyn physician for 24‑hour in‑hospital Ob/Gyn hospitalist call. This is a temporary per diem position for 6 months with hotel, travel and meals paid for the 6-month duration, with potential for contract renewal and/or permanent placement after one year. There are no clinic responsibilities or in‑basket duties. The physician does not need to live in the surrounding area. This role involves a collaborative practice with Kaiser Permanente Ob/Gyn physicians (on‑call and outpatient teams).
Requirements
- Active California medical license
- ABOG board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Completion of Obstetrics & Gynecology residency
Responsibilities
- Manage patients on Labor & Delivery and in the OB Emergency Room (triage)
- See obstetric and gynecologic consults from the hospital and emergency room
- Perform obstetrical and gynecologic emergency surgeries
- Manage antepartum and postpartum services
