The NYSTART Coordinator, Region 2 Central is responsible for maintaining an active caseload of individuals referred for START Services, providing systemic consultation, and conducting outreach visits. This role involves assisting with referrals, coordinating support meetings, developing crisis plans, and creating comprehensive service evaluations. The Coordinator will also participate in consultations, staff meetings, and provide on-call support. Accurate data entry into the START Information Reporting System and maintaining all required documentation are crucial. Additionally, the role involves engaging with community partners, presenting materials, and participating in the Center for START Services National Network. Compliance with all necessary trainings and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, is mandatory. The position requires regular travel within the assigned region and occasional travel to other regions or states for meetings and events. A strong interest in working with the I/DD population and exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and writing skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be independent, organized, highly flexible, and willing to take initiative.
