We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Nutritionist to join our Occupational Health and Employee Wellness team. The Nutritionist will provide evidence-based nutritional guidance, develop wellness programs, and educate employees on healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices. Job Summary The Nutritionist will be responsible for assessing the nutritional needs of employees, providing individualized nutrition counseling, and developing personalized dietary and wellness plans. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare professionals, occupational health teams, wellness coordinators, and employees to promote healthy eating habits and improve overall health and well-being. The role will also involve developing educational programs, conducting nutrition workshops, and supporting company wellness initiatives. The Nutritionist may collaborate with agricultural and food production teams to promote awareness of the nutritional value of crops and food products produced by the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Public Health, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in nutrition counseling, community health, employee wellness, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition science, dietary assessment, meal planning, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  • Experience providing individual and group nutrition education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and counseling abilities with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
  • Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex nutritional information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare and wellness team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic record-keeping systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) credential is preferred.
  • Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience working in occupational health, corporate wellness, community nutrition, or employee health programs.
  • Knowledge of agricultural crops, fresh produce, food production, and nutritional science.
  • Experience developing and delivering workplace wellness and nutrition education programs.
  • Familiarity with culturally diverse dietary practices and nutritional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct nutritional assessments to evaluate employees' dietary habits, nutritional needs, and wellness goals.
  • Develop personalized nutrition and meal plans based on individual health needs, lifestyle factors, and dietary preferences.
  • Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling and ongoing support to employees.
  • Educate employees on balanced nutrition, portion control, healthy food choices, hydration, and sustainable eating habits.
  • Develop and facilitate nutrition education workshops, wellness seminars, and group counseling sessions.
  • Create educational materials related to nutrition, healthy eating, and preventive health.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational health professionals, and wellness teams to support comprehensive employee health programs.
  • Assist in developing workplace wellness initiatives focused on nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease prevention.
  • Provide guidance on the nutritional value and health benefits of agricultural crops, fresh produce, and food products.
  • Support company initiatives that encourage employees to incorporate fresh and nutritious foods into their daily diets.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of nutritional assessments, counseling sessions, recommendations, and follow-up activities.
  • Monitor employee progress and adjust nutritional recommendations when appropriate.
  • Stay current with the latest nutrition research, dietary guidelines, food science developments, and evidence-based practices.
  • Ensure nutrition recommendations comply with applicable professional, ethical, and healthcare standards.
  • Participate in employee wellness events, health screenings, and educational programs.
