The Qualified Nutritionist will be responsible for the nutrition assessment component of the program, along with other administrative duties as assigned by a supervisor. This is a full-time, hybrid position, with potential for remote work 1-2 days per week after completing the probationary period. Applicants must currently reside in New York State. The role involves assisting the Program Director in the overall operation of the WIC program and satellite sites, developing and implementing individual care plans (ICPs), overseeing high-risk care, and providing guidance to CPA and Nutrition Assistant staff. The position also includes coordinating nutrition education, referring participants to other services, tracking progress, conducting program orientations, collecting certification information, and ensuring efficient assessment and education processes. Leadership in planning, conducting, and evaluating participant-centered nutrition services, as well as orienting, training, and mentoring new staff, is also a key aspect of this role.
