About The Position

Tri-County is seeking a qualified, compassionate Nutrition Coordinator to develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive nutrition program for a Head Start program serving pregnant persons and children ages birth to five years and their families.

Requirements

Registered Dietician or Licensed Nutritionist
Minimum of 1 year of experience in community nutrition, preferably with children birth - 5
Valid driver's license
Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

Food Safety Certification preferred

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor a high-quality nutrition services program.
Support children with special dietary needs, allergies, and medical diets.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CACFP.
Maintain accurate nutrition data and reports.
Participate in continuous improvement planning.
Work closely with the program catering vendor to coordinate menu planning and meal counts.
Monitor service quality and scheduling.
Ensure safe food handling practices and compliance with sanitation regulations.
