About The Position

The Nutritional Services Technician is accountable to provide all aspects of patient meal service. This individual is responsible for the preparation of hot and cold menu items for patient and cafeteria meals, as well as for special functions. The Nutritional Services Technician is accountable to have a fundamental understanding of prescribed diet information and food allergy protocols.

Requirements

• PRN
• Every Other Weekend
• Works around areas and equipment of abnormal temperatures
• Requires extensive standing
• Requires full range of body motion including but not limited to, standing, walking, sitting, hand and finger dexterity, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, etc.
• Some heavy lifting
• This job requires that weight be lifted or force be exerted

Responsibilities

• Obtaining patient meal orders
• Assembling trays
• Communicating prescribed diets
• Maintaining patient kardex system
• Preparing food following recipes
• Washing dishes
• Other kitchen related tasks
• Open and close the cafeteria
• Serve customers
• Run the cash register
• Receive & put away vendor orders
• Complete all required documentation
• Abide by all sanitation and food safety standards
• Display exceptional client service at all times
