About The Position

Responsible for coordinating meal service for Laureate psychiatric patient areas as directed and performing related responsibilities. The role provides meal service to Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital units, prepares and administers nourishments according to diet prescriptions, and supports food service operations while following departmental policies, procedures, and sanitation standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Oklahoma Food Handler's permit.
1–2 years of related experience.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to follow directions with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Provide meal service to Laureate psychiatric patient units.
Prepare and administer appropriate nourishments based on diet prescriptions.
Present food appealingly, using garnishes as appropriate.
Use printed computer reports to ensure patient diet restrictions are followed accurately.
Offer appropriate food based on diet prescriptions and meal patterns.
Make appropriate decisions independently that affect the department and patient outcomes.
Communicate courteously and cooperatively by telephone and with Laureate or Saint Francis Health System staff.
Communicate with a dietitian as needed regarding patient-care questions.
Deliver coffee break materials to ordering departments.
Order and stock food supplies for serving and nursing units.
Maintain a clean work area and follow sanitation standards in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and Tulsa City-County Health Department standards.
